Yes — searching any IMEI or serial number is always free and always will be. No account needed. You only need a subscription to register and protect your own devices.
With a Shield subscription you can register up to 5 devices on your account — enough to cover your phone, tablet, laptop and the rest of your family's devices. Each device gets its own digital badge and protection.
Shield Business is designed for phone shops, second-hand device dealers, and electronics retailers. It gives you unlimited device registrations so you can verify and badge all your stock, protect yourself from unknowingly buying stolen devices, and display your ClearCheck Verified Dealer status to customers.
Every registered device gets a unique digital badge — a shareable image and a public verification URL that anyone can click to confirm the device is registered and protected. You can share it in marketplace listings to prove your device is clean.
Your devices remain in the registry but your active protection lapses. You won't receive owner notifications and won't be able to register new devices until you renew. We'll send you a reminder before expiry.
All payments are processed securely online using a debit or credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard across all our markets. Your card details are handled entirely by our payment provider — ClearCheck never stores your card information.
